Solid wood furniture is highly durable and robust. These pieces could last for centuries.

When exposed to extreme temperature, humidity and sunlight, however, solid wood furniture will expand or contract. This causes splits along the grain of the wood. Avoid exposing pieces to strong sunlight or direct heat sources to minimize this risk.
