Indian Rosewood

Indian Rosewood is the common name for Dalbergia latifolia, a timber species native to the low-elevation tropical monsoon forests of eastern India.

It grows as both an evergreen and deciduous tree, and produces a hard, durable, heavy wood that, once cured, is resistant to rot and insects. When finished, rosewood has a deep dark red colour with darker streaks. Rosewood is used to make premium furniture for indoors and outdoors.
